Great and friendly service. Lunch time meals are a great deal and come with nice side salad and large portions. Best pad thai in town! I love this place

Wish I could give 0 because I didn't even get any food. Walked in with my boyfriend and was super excited to try this place! Got there around 3pm, walk in (note there is a loud wind chime hanging on the door) and stand there waiting to be greeted. We waited about 5 minutes and nothing, so we sat down at the first table by the door. We could hear multiple people in the kitchen chatting but no one even bothered to come out. We actually opened the door and closed it about 4 or 5 times so the chimes would go off, but nothing....decided to leave after about 15 minutes of waiting. Whoever is in charge of the staff, if anyone, obviously doesn't seem to care much for the restaurants' business. Unfortunately won't be coming back.

Thai cafe always prepares great food, it's very quaint inside and they have recently remodeled a bit. Extremely friendly staff who are quick. Ordered our favorite Pad Thai and Basil Curry Chicken. Can't go wrong with the Thai Tea, it's a special treat. Good prices as well.

If you enjoy authentic, great flavors this is the place. I ordered Yum salad, for dessert mango sticky rice. We previously ordered peanut based sauce. Friendly, clean environment.

What is the point of spending money to keep a restaurant open if you can't even get customers? My girlfriend and I were starving for some good Thai food and so we tried this place. Well...i wish i could say we tried this place, but apparently the workers did not want to seat us. We came in around 3pm, ready to chow down on some good grub but when we walked in, no one was at the front desk. All fine and dandy, the wind chime went off in front of the door, certainly the host or hostess heard us right? No. They did not. We could hear them talking in the back. Well, maybe they didn't hear so we should do the wind chimes again. Still no one came. So we started making conversation with eachother, rather loudly so the employees in the back could hear. Still nothing. After about 15 minutes of repeated wind chimes and far too high decibel talking to eachother to get any kind of attention (which failed), we left and went to 99 Pho on blanding to give them our money for food. Sure, it's Vietnamese instead of Thai, but dang was the food amazing and WE ACTUALLY GOT FOOD WHEN WE WALKED INTO A PLACE THAT SERVES FOOD. Get it together, man. What kind of program are yall running here?

Food was ok.. Definitely not the best Thai in jacksonville/orange park. Family run, good customer service, intimate atmosphere except for the loud TV.

This is my go-to Thai in Orange Park. Family run and always good. We prefer cabbage with our Nam Sod and Lab to cut the spice. Not a problem here. Tom Ka as Kai (coconut chicken soup) is great.

+great price...lunch meals were $7 and we are taking leftovers out +good Thai food...not the best I have ever had (Baan Thai, Leavenworth KS) but definitely good -decor is not fancy

I eat here at least once a week. The staff is always friendly and remembered my order after only eating there twice. The staff is always quick to refill my beverage (especially when i add extra spice!). The food is amazing and always fresh. By far my favorite Thai restaurant in Jacksonville.

I've rated this place a 2 because the first time I went the food was awesome I had the pad Thai which was perfect not too sour not too sweet and they have fresh peppers similar to what my parents make... But the second time I went and ordered the pad Thai it was so awful it was like I was eating boiled noodles no flavor I was so disappointed because I was so hungry I got my money back and never returned.. I don't like inconsistency.

A quaint cafe with good food and service. We'll balanced curry dishes and crispy fresh spring rolls. Dine in or take out fast service.

I went here for dinner that last time I was in Orange Park. This is a small, intimate establishment with a family mom & pops feel. I think the mom was actually cooking our meal! Not a lot of decor or ambiance. There were three people in our party and we had plenty of food to eat! We started with the fish cakes. I think these were pretty average. These tasted more like the frozen store bought type of fishcakes. We also had the papaya salad (thai style), wooohooo that was spicy but good! For our entrees, we shared Pad Kra Prow - ground chicken with basil, garlic, onion, and peppers (I didn't see it on the menu but I asked our waitress and they whipped us up a batch). We also shared Beef Rard Naa (wide rice noodles with gravy). We were disappointed with this dish since we're used to Rard Naa prepared with Chinese broccoli. This dish had regular broccoli, carrots, and cabbage. We ended our meal with 2 desserts, Thai custard with sweet sticky rice and fried banana & ice cream. I definitely enjoyed the custard and sticky rice. I highly recommend it.

Seriously, this place is forlorn and the food just okay. Go to Thai Garden on Blanding. It's infinitely better!

I love this place! have been going there for over three years...The staff are so friendly and the food is great! The place is small and cute, not very fancy- but that's fine. The prices are very good, the menu has a lot of choices and the serving sizes are generous. I recommend the Basil vegetable with beef or the coconut fried rice and the Pad Thai with whatever meat you choose- yum yum! Also, their peanut salad dressing is very sweet but I am totally addicted to it-OMG LOL

Tom Yum Chicken Satay Beef with Peppers and Onions (Prik Pao) Nestled in a small strip mall this is an authentic Thai place. I tried some traditional stuff and found it very tasty. I found their sauces for the Satay to be different but excellent. I would definitely go here again.

thai cafe used to be my favorite thai place . . . . . . until their food & service went downhill. i have gone into thai cafe with a friend before and they refused to take his order from HIM. they would only talk to me. i have no idea why.. but they were ignoring him the whole entire time. i used to always get chicken pad thai (& pad thai should always be good at a thai place) and the vegetable basil dish. last time i went -- the chicken pad thai had entiiiirely too much fish sauce in it. for those of you who dont know what fish sauce is or what it smells like -- you might not know the difference, but fish sauce (patis -- to me) is reaaallly intense & quite frankly -- the less, the better. the only thing that has stayed consistently awesome -- is the thai tea. unfortunately thai tea isnt a reason to go to a thai restaurant. i used to go there every sunday for lunch, but i havent gone back since my last iffy bout of thai food at thai cafe.

My husband and I ate at Thai Cafe for the first time last night. Let me echo what the other reviewer wrote - this place is NOT fancy. For example, my silverware was wrapped in a paper towel, rather than a napkin. The booths seem dated and the rest of the decor is nothing to write home about, but the meal we had was pretty good. We started with fresh spring rolls (always a favorite of mine) which were, indeed, fresh. They lacked a little flavor - I think they usually have some cilantro or Thai basil wrapped in them for that punch of flavor I love. The sauces that accompanied them, a sweet chili sauce and a peanut sauce, were both tasty. We next had the yum salad with chicken. My husband had never had a Thai salad before and really liked it. It was light and full of flavor. For entrees, I ordered chicken pad thai and my husband ordered massamun curry. Both dishes were good, though I felt that both of them were a bit sweeter than I am accustomed to. Also, this was the first Thai place that didn't give me lime slices with my pad thai (I am sure if I had asked they would have done so.) We had plenty leftover from our meal, so will be enjoying that for dinner this evening. I had a thai iced tea to drink and my husband a soda, and all together our bill was just shy of $40. At other Thai places we've visited, the bill would have been nearly double, so I felt this was a good value. Service was also fine. Husband and I agree that we will go there again.
